After the Manta earthquake and as a short, medium and long term solution, a modular housing model of easy construction, topographic adaptation and with the possibility of growth is proposed.
The project takes into account the teachings and benefits of the popular architecture of the area where the houses were built on piles and additionally we achieved a flexible and earthquake resistant construction system.
The minimum module is 3×3 meters, two modules cover the emerging needs of a family and will grow according to each situation without affecting the original space. The services and construction materials are multiples and submultiples of the base module in order to reduce costs and assembly time.
Chains, columns and beams designed to obtain the necessary rigidity to receive the other materials in a precise manner will help build the houses without the need for skilled labor. The electrical and hydro-sanitary installations complement this strictly functional project.
