Balet House 2017

Residential project designed to promote biodiversity in the area. The complex includes the main house and several suites to provide temporary accommodation for volunteers from an NGO who collaborate with the protection and care of the environment.

To maintain privacy, internal courtyards are created in the suites and 3 levels outside; thus, the garden of the main house is at an upper level where a strip of crops separates it from the communal area of the guests. Security is guaranteed by the blind facade to the street.

The green roof construction system improves the quality of life of residents because it is an acoustic and thermal insulator and prevents UV radiation, retains water and serves as a filter to improve air quality while reducing costs.

A project in harmony with its rural surroundings that adapts to the interests of its inhabitants and improves the quality of life of the inhabitants of the community of Cotacachi.
